Highrise Chess is Hyrum F.'s one-on-one online chess coaching, based near Idaho Falls, Idaho. This page explains what happens to information about you when you visit highrisechess.com.

Very little. The site has no forms, no logins and no visitor accounts, so we never ask for your name, email or phone number here, and it has no database: nothing you do on it is stored by us. Your quiz answers stay in your browser: they aren't saved or sent anywhere.

What we do get is visit statistics: which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors come from, and what kind of device and browser they use. We use them to see whether the site is useful and to improve it.

Google Analytics uses cookies to tell visits apart and count returning visitors. You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings, or install Google's opt-out add-on.

Ahrefs Web Analytics also counts visits, but without cookies.

The site itself sets no other cookies.

• Vercel hosts the site. Like any web host, it receives your IP address and browser details to deliver the pages.
• Google Analytics (Google) and Ahrefs Web Analytics (Ahrefs) provide the visit statistics.
• Lessons are booked, paid for and arranged on Wyzant. Anything you share there is handled under Wyzant's own privacy policy.

We don't sell personal data to anyone.

There are no contact forms on this site, so there are no form messages to keep. Messages you send to Hyrum through Wyzant stay on Wyzant.

This website isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
